/ OUR HISTORY
We are a family-run Spanish company with 50 years of experience in manufacturing plastic products. At our facilities in the town of Albuixech (Valencia), we comprehensively carry out the creating process of our products: we design the article, manufacture the mould tools and inject the parts.
1973
ORIGINS
Tomás Morcillo started a small tooling workshop of around 150 m2 in the city of Valencia (Spain), where mould tools for small parts were made to order.
1980
FIRST INJECTION MOULDING PLANT
The team gradually grew and the company moved to larger premises in the town of Sedaví, where the first injection moulding plant was created with the aim of offering plastic injection moulding services to third parties.
1991
AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
In the early 1990s, the company began to supply the automotive sector, manufacturing parts for companies such as Moto Vespa, Faurecia, Ford, Seat and Volvo, representing a major boost to the growth of the company's structure.
1995
NEW PRODUCT LINES
At this point, ITM began to manufacture tool moulds for products of its own design and focused on a sector that had not been addressed until then: construction. ITM then developed a line of products under the trademark ITM CONSTRUCCIÓN, such as manholes, rubble pipes and mortar trays. In this same context, the brand LOSEPLAST, was created, under which it currently produces and markets plastic tiles.
2002
MOVE TO THE TOWN OF ALBUIXECH
At the begining of the century and with a growing structure the company moved to larger premises in the town of Albuixech (Valencia), with buildings covering an area of 6,000m2.
2008
THE FIRST TROLLEY
In the context of an economic recession, ITM decided to diversify its business and focused on the retail sector. The "Policarro Compact" project -awarded at national level- came from the hand of the entrepreneur Alfonso Pamíes, and it was then that ITM began its journey in the world of the supermarket trolley.
2012
BIRTH OF POLYCART
Following the success of the "Compact", and the progressive introduction of plastic trolleys in supermarkets, ITM created the brand POLYCART and undertook the development and manufacture of a range of plastic self-service trolleys and baskets with its own, more sophisticated and modern design, with the aim of offering shopfitting solutions for shops and supermarkets.
2018
NEW FACILITIES
In order to modernise its facilities and to cope with the growing space needs, ITM moved to its current headquarters in Albuixech: a complex with 15,000m2 of buildings where the storage and manufacture of all products and moulds is located.
2019
BIRTH OF ITM PACK
With the aim of exploring the packaging sector, as well as extending its influence within the retail sector, ITM developed a line of products under the brand ITM PACK, which includes returnable shipping boxes with lids and plastic pallets boxes for in-store display and the fruit and vegetable sector.
